Eight ice cream, pie, chocolate and sweet shops inside Duluth city limits, four of them downtown around the Town Green.
Last checked Oct. 6, 2026. Refreshed every three months.
Duluth’s dessert shops cluster downtown, where an ice cream shop, a pie studio and a chocolate shop sit within a block of the Town Green, and on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and Pleasant Hill Road, where the ice cream and custard chains are. An Indian sweet shop is east of downtown on Abbotts Bridge Road.
How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Duluth’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 6, 2026. We added places listed in the City of Duluth’s Eat Local directory and the Downtown Duluth directory where the place’s own site gave a Duluth address, and checked every address against the U.S. Census Bureau’s geocoder; dessert shops around Gwinnett Place sit outside the city line. Where a chain’s page would not load for us, the hours column says to check it. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places?
