12 breakfast and coffee places inside Duluth city limits, from downtown cafes on Main and Hill streets to diners on Buford Highway and PIB.

Last checked Oct. 6, 2026. Refreshed every three months.

Breakfast and coffee in Duluth center on downtown, where cafes line Main Street, Hill Street and Parsons Alley, and on two older corridors: Buford Highway, home to a Southern-cooking diner and a Dunkin’, and Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, with a diner, a Starbucks and a Waffle House.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Duluth’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 6, 2026. We added places listed in the City of Duluth’s Eat Local directory and the Downtown Duluth directory where the place’s own site gave a Duluth address, and checked every address against the U.S. Census Bureau’s geocoder; cafes around Gwinnett Place have Duluth mailing addresses but sit outside the city line. Where a chain’s location page would not load for us, the hours column says to check it. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it.
