Duluth's 10 precincts gave Keisha Lance Bottoms 66.6% and Jon Ossoff 72.5%, and both led statewide. Michelle Kang beat Rep. Matt Reeves in House District 99.
Duluth voters backed Democrat Keisha Lance Bottoms for governor and Democrat Jon Ossoff for the U.S. Senate in Tuesday’s general election. Both also finished ahead statewide, with all 159 Georgia counties reporting.
The figures are unofficial. They come from the Georgia Secretary of State’s election results page, which lists every Gwinnett County precinct as complete on election night. Results stay unofficial until they are certified.
We added up the county’s 10 precincts named Duluth, Duluth A through Duluth K (there is no Duluth J). Precinct lines are set by the county and may not match the city limits exactly.

Duluth’s own districts
All 10 Duluth precincts sit in the 4th Congressional District and state Senate District 7. They are split among four state House districts.
| Race | Result (whole district) | Duluth precincts |
|---|---|---|
| U.S. House, District 4 | Henry “Hank” Johnson Jr. (Dem, incumbent) 82.6%; Jim Duffie (Rep) 17.4% | Johnson 70.1% |
| State Senate, District 7 | Ruwa Romman (Dem) 66.0%; Aizaz Shahbaz Shaikh (Rep) 34.0% | Romman 69.8% |
| State House, District 96 | Arlene Beckles (Dem, incumbent), unopposed | Duluth B, F, G and K |
| State House, District 97 | Jyot Singh (Dem) 68.0%; Yassin Moghazy (Rep) 32.0% | Duluth C, D, E and H |
| State House, District 99 | Michelle Kang (Dem) 58.5%; Matt Reeves (Rep, incumbent) 41.5% | Duluth A, G and I |
| State House, District 107 | Sam Park (Dem, incumbent) 70.9%; Murray R. Berkowitz (Rep) 29.1% | Duluth F |
District 99 is the one seat on Duluth ballots where an incumbent lost. Kang had 13,695 votes to Reeves’ 9,734 across the district, and 60.2% in the three Duluth precincts.
Some precincts appear twice in the House rows because they are split between districts. The incumbent markings come from the county’s consolidated sample ballot.
Every winner in these races took more than 50%, so none of them goes to the Dec. 1 runoff date on the county’s schedule.
The four ballot questions
Voters statewide approved all three proposed constitutional amendments. Gwinnett voters approved the school-tax homestead question.
- Amendment 1 raises the cap for farmland taxed as conservation-use property from 2,000 to 4,000 acres. Yes: 52.9% in Duluth precincts, 53.9% statewide.
- Amendment 2 lets the General Assembly put certain existing revenue into a fund used only for 9-1-1 systems. Yes: 67.5% in Duluth precincts, 68.4% statewide.
- Amendment 3 requires all probate court judges to be elected in nonpartisan elections. Yes: 78.6% in Duluth precincts, 77.7% statewide.
- Gwinnett homestead question extends the existing extra $2,000 homestead exemption from Gwinnett County School District taxes, which already covers certain public service employees, to disabled veterans and all employees of the Gwinnett County and Buford City school districts. Yes: 75.0% in Duluth precincts, 75.5% countywide.
The wording of each question is from the county’s sample ballot.
How Duluth voted
Most Duluth votes were cast before Election Day. Of the 22,866 votes in the Senate race in Duluth’s precincts:
- 15,371 were advance in-person votes
- 6,614 were cast on Election Day
- 881 were absentee ballots by mail
Countywide, the Senate race drew 343,835 votes. The governor’s race drew 343,946, about 56% of the 612,682 active voters in the county’s advance voting report. That share is our own calculation, and it slightly understates turnout because some voters skip a race. Our earlier story has the final early voting figures.
