The Duluth Farmers and Artisan Market

Where: the Town Green, 3142 Hill St. NW, in front of City Hall in downtown Duluth.

When: first and third Sundays, 2 to 5 p.m., March to May and September to November.

What you will find: according to the city, vendors bring in-season local produce, baked goods and other locally made food. Expect jams, jellies, pickles, salsa, canned vegetables, honey, herbs and spices, along with cut flowers, homemade candles, soaps, lotions, pottery and baskets. The city says buying from local growers means produce that was picked fresh.

Selling there: the city takes vendor applications through the link on its market page.

Payment: the city’s page does not say whether vendors take SNAP/EBT. Ask at the market or call the events team before you go.

Making a day of it

A market Sunday fits with the rest of downtown: the fountain plaza, Parsons Alley and the shops on Main Street are steps from the Town Green. Live music in Parsons Alley, the Duluth Live series, runs Friday and Saturday nights from April through October, so it is not on market days.

Parking: the Downtown Duluth parking page lists the public parking deck, surface lots and street parking. Street parking has a 48-hour maximum unless signs say otherwise, some spaces are limited to three hours or 15 minutes, and the public deck has no overnight parking from 2 to 5 a.m.
