Easter in Duluth 2027: egg hunts, brunch and services

Easter is Sunday, March 28, 2027, early this time. Gwinnett County Public Schools’ spring break comes the week after, April 5-9, on the district’s 2026-27 calendar, so Easter is not part of the break. The 2027 Easter events below are not out yet; here is what we know.

Egg hunts

The city of Duluth’s 2026 events calendar listed no Easter egg hunt. Its spring 2026 lineup instead ran Flicks on the Bricks on April 10, S’mores in the Park on April 24 and the Chalk Art Festival on May 1-2. The city has not posted its 2027 calendar.

Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation runs seasonal events, including egg hunts at some parks and pools, through its online registration site. No 2027 egg hunt was listed there as of Oct. 6.

Brunch and Easter Sunday dining

No Duluth restaurant had posted an Easter 2027 brunch or menu on its own website as of Oct. 6. These downtown spots serve brunch or late breakfast year-round, according to the Downtown Duluth directory and their own websites; check each one for Easter hours.

What is open on Easter

Library: the Gwinnett County Public Library closed every branch on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, on its 2026 holiday schedule. The 2027 schedule has not been posted.
City Hall: Easter is a Sunday, when City Hall is closed anyway. Good Friday, March 26, 2027, was not a city holiday in 2026.
Trash: Easter is not one of the six holidays that delay Duluth’s trash pickup.
Ride Gwinnett does not run on Sundays.
Southeastern Railway Museum, 3595 Buford Hwy., is normally open Sundays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; it had not posted Easter 2027 hours.
