Olympic-level gymnastics comes to Duluth on Saturday, March 6, 2027: national teams from 8 countries at Gas South Arena. Tickets on sale now from $30.
The 2027 American Cup, an international gymnastics competition for national teams, will be held at Gas South Arena in Duluth on Saturday, March 6, 2027. USA Gymnastics announced the event Friday, and tickets are already on sale.
Men and women gymnasts from eight countries will compete together as national teams. It is the mixed team format that will make its debut at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
How the day works
Two competitions share the arena that Saturday, according to USA Gymnastics:
- The Nastia Liukin Cup Presented by Ozone runs in the afternoon. It brings together the country’s top Level 10 women’s gymnasts, who qualify at meets held nationwide through the winter.
- The American Cup is Saturday night, the final event of the day.
Each country fields two to three men and two to three women, up to six athletes in all. Their scores combine to decide a single team champion.
USA Gymnastics said competing countries and schedules will be posted on americancup.com “in the coming weeks.” Start times have not been announced yet.
Who could come
The 2026 American Cup, held in Las Vegas, drew the strongest teams from the 2024 Paris Olympics and the 2023 world championships. Team China won, the United States finished second and Japan third. USA Gymnastics said that field included 12 Olympians and 23 athletes with world championships experience, from four continents.
It expects the 2027 field to be “even more star-studded.” No teams for Duluth have been named.

Tickets are sold through Ticketmaster. The lowest prices USA Gymnastics advertised:

What they said
“We look forward to the 2027 American Cup bringing international gymnastics back to Georgia and being an important part of the Olympic legacy from Atlanta 1996 through LA28,” USA Gymnastics President and CEO Kyle Albrecht said.
Stan Hall is president and CEO of Gas South District, the campus that includes the arena, and of Explore Gwinnett. “Metro Atlanta has a strong youth gymnastics community, and hosting an event of this caliber gives those young athletes the opportunity to see world class gymnastics right here at home,” he said.
